How do I find the overlap between two groups?
Select the first group by navigating to the folder where the group resides. (Figure 1).
Open the file to see the tabular view of all the entities in the group. Copy all the members to the clipboard by selecting CTRL KEY+a and then selecting “Copy” from the edit menu. This action copies all the table contents to the clipboard. (Figure 2).
Alternatively all proteins/entities can be selected from the Select menu>option “All” (Figure 3) followed by “Copy” as in Figure 2 above.
Next open the second group and choose Select>Entities on clipboard (Figure 4).
This action highlights in blue all the proteins in common between the two groups. (Figure 5).
These common proteins can be copied to the clipboard via Edit>Copy and used to create a new group. Select “New Group” in the database pane to open a new group and select paste to add the entities to the group. The previously copied clipboard contents are copied into the new group.
