The ResNet Family of Databases

The ResNet Databases represent different sets of pre-compiled information on biological relationships and associations, interactions and facts which have been extracted from the biomedical literature using MedScan. There are several available ResNet databases:

ResNet family of databases includes information harvested from the complete PubMed in a formal structure that allows searching, retrieval and updating by Pathway Studio user. ResNet is seamlessly installed when Pathway Studio is installed.

Features of ResNet

  • All extracted relations have linked access to the original article or abstract
  • Synonyms and homologs are included to maintain gene identity and to obviate redundancy in search results
  • Users can update ResNet as often as required using the MedScan technology built into all Ariadne products
  • Updates are made available by Ariadne every quarter

ResNet Mammalian Database

ResNet Mammalian includes a set of pathways and molecular interactions uniquely representative of the entire PubMed (14,000,000 abstracts) and 47 full text journals. The ResNet Database Release 5.0 contains information on over 1.25 million relations for human, rat and mouse. Click here for detailed Statistics.

ResNet Mammalian includes annotations on the following:

  • Over 1.25 million relationships for:
    • 106,749 proteins
    • 47,852 small molecules
    • 1094 cell processes
    • 2,301 diseases
  • Pathways:

List of Full-Text Journals

Molecular interactions information was harvested for the ResNet 5 Mammalian Database using MedScan from the full-text journals listed here, in addition to PubMed.

ResNet Plant Database

A source of molecular interaction data for plant researchers to be used with Pathway Studio pathway analysis software. ResNet Plant contains all information contained in PubMed on Arabidopsis, Rice, Barley, Corn, Tomato, Potato and Tobacco. Click here for detailed Statistics.

  • Over 70,000 molecular regulatory and physical interaction relations
  • Coverage for 72,000 plant-specific abstracts and four full-text journals
  • 382,000-sentence co-occurrence facts for plant proteins are available optionally
